MOLYKOTE HTP Paste
MOLYKOTE HTP Paste is a specialized solid lubricant designed for use in hot metal forming processes. It effectively lubricates tools and workpieces during operations such as hot flow pressing, drop forging, and hot bending, acting also as a parting agent and slip additive at high temperatures. This paste has proven effective across a range of applications, including the hot bending of steel, rolling of vehicle leaf springs, folding sheet metal edges, hot rolling of cutters, and drop forging of flywheels.
The paste's formulation, consisting of mineral oil, a thickener, and a solid lubricant, is free of PTFE and PFAS. Its high-temperature resistance, up to 1150 C, significantly reduces friction and wear, minimizing scoring and extending tool lifespan. Application is straightforward, involving the thin and even spreading of the paste onto a clean surface using a brush or rag, with periodic reapplication as required.
