MOLYKOTE G-N Plus Paste
MOLYKOTE G-N Plus Paste is a high-performance black paste for assembly, run-in, and permanent lubrication of machine elements. MOLYKOTE G-N Plus Paste is a solid lubricant paste designed for metal-to-metal combinations involving slow to medium-fast movements and high loads. It provides excellent protection against frictional corrosion and scoring. The paste facilitates the press-fit production of machine elements and serves as a running-in lubricant for new machines and gearboxes, ensuring long-lasting performance and simplified maintenance.
This black-colored paste consists of mineral oil, a thickener, and solid lubricants including MoS2 and white solids. It operates effectively across a wide temperature range, from -18 C to 400 C. The paste boasts a high load-carrying capacity and a low coefficient of friction. Furthermore, it provides protection against stick-slip and good anti-corrosion properties, reducing the formation of fretting corrosion. Notably, the formulation contains no intentional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
For optimal application, clean the surfaces thoroughly before applying a thin, even layer of MOLYKOTE G-N Plus Paste. This ensures complete coverage and maximizes the paste's protective and lubricating capabilities. Its high surface-covering capacity (40 m /kg) ensures efficient usage. The paste is particularly suitable for threaded spindles, splined shafts, toothed gears, worm and transmission gears, screws, valves, pumps, and machine-tool guides. It is also effective for tightening and fitting roller bearings, washers, wheels, flanges, and bolts.
