MOLYKOTE D-10-GBL Anti-Friction Coating is a heat-cured dry-film lubricant for metal-on-metal applications under slow to medium speeds and loads, offering superior chemical resistance and long-term wear protection. MOLYKOTE D-10-GBL is a heat-curable dry-film lubricant designed for metal-to-metal contact operating under slow to medium speeds and low to medium loads. It provides exceptional resistance to various chemicals including oils, greases, gasoline, diesel fuel, and solvents, ensuring long-lasting wear protection and high-temperature performance. This coating is ideal for permanently lubricating heavily loaded friction points, even those directly exposed to motor oils or fuels.
Application involves thorough surface cleaning and degreasing prior to coating. Methods include screen printing (for a recommended dry film thickness of 15-20 m), spraying, or brushing, with viscosity adjustments as needed for the chosen method. Surface treatments like phosphating or sandblasting (180 grid) can improve adhesion and service life. A pre-cure flash-off at 80 C (176 F) for 10 minutes is recommended before final curing at 200 C (392 F) for 20 minutes. The coating's dynamic viscosity is 35,000 mPas at 23 C (73 F), and its density is 1.30 g/ml.
