MOLYKOTE 112 High Performance Lube/Sealant
MOLYKOTE 112 High Performance Lube/Sealant is a thermally stable, high-consistency silicone sealant and lubricant for valves, offering excellent chemical and temperature resistance from -40 F to 450 F (-40 C to 232 C). MOLYKOTE 112 High Consistency Valve Sealant is a grease-like, stiff, non-melting silicone compound designed for use as a valve lubricant and sealant. Its exceptional thermal stability prevents carbonization at operating temperatures and ensures resistance to melting or hardening even under prolonged high-temperature exposure. The material exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of solvents and chemicals, including water, alcohols, glycols, glycerine, and many oils and organic compounds.
Application requires initial surface cleaning. While its high tackiness results in a significant pressure drop during pumping, standard grease equipment is compatible, though long-distance pumping is not recommended. The sealant provides excellent water and oil resistance and good chemical resistance across a broad range of substances.
