MOLYKOTE 4 Electrical Insulating Compound is a silicone-based, semi-flowable electrical insulating compound offering high dielectric strength, excellent insulation, and broad temperature range performance. MOLYKOTE 4 Electrical Insulating Compound is a silicone-based, semi-flowable material designed for electrical insulation applications. Its semi-fluid consistency allows for easy application by hand, brush, or wipe, enabling it to penetrate complex geometries. The compound's rheology can be influenced by shear, increasing flow characteristics which is beneficial for filling intricate spaces. This compound provides high dielectric strength and excellent electrical insulation properties while adhering well to various dry substrates including metals, elastomers, polymers, and ceramics. It offers good moisture and water resistance, low volatility and evaporation rates, and excellent oxidation stability, maintaining performance across a wide temperature range from -54 C to 200 C. The product is certified to NSF 51 and 61, meets 21 CFR 175.30, and holds Kosher Pareve and Halal certifications. It is also tested to AMS 8660 Tables 1-4. The compound has a shelf life of 60 months when stored in its original, unopened container.
