Aircraft cable does a job ordinary wire rope can't. Control runs, cargo systems, and tie-down applications put it under repeated tension and flexing, and it has to hold its rated strength through all of it. The specification called out on the drawing isn't a suggestion, and neither is the certification that comes with it.
We stock stainless steel, galvanized, and plastic-coated cables across the full range of colors and sizes, along with the strands, cords, and Mil-Spec wire that go with them. One spool or a production quantity, the RFQ turnaround is fast!
Cable Types We Stock
Stainless Steel Aircraft Cable
Corrosion resistance for exposed runs and humid or salt-air environments, where a coated cable would eventually give way at the surface.
Galvanized Aircraft Cable
Zinc-coated construction for general aircraft use in locations where corrosion exposure is controlled.
Plastic-Coated Cable
A jacketed construction that protects both the strand and the surfaces it runs against, used where abrasion or frequent handling is a factor.
Strands and Cords
Smaller-diameter constructions for light-duty control, safety wiring, and securing applications.
Mil-Spec Wire
Airframe and equipment wire built to military specifications, covering the M22759, MIL-W-16878, and MIL-DTL-27500 families among others.
