MOLYKOTE 1122 Chain And Open Gear Grease
MOLYKOTE 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease is a high-performance synthetic grease formulated with solid lubricants to provide reliable lubrication in extreme conditions. Its exceptional adhesive properties ensure long-lasting protection and minimize the need for frequent reapplication. The grease exhibits excellent water resistance and is notably free of intentionally added polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Application is straightforward, involving thorough cleaning of contact areas before applying the grease using a brush, spatula, grease gun, or automatic lubrication system. For optimal performance with chains possessing hollow pins, ensure complete grease packing within the pins and subsequent relubrication via grease nipples. New gear teeth should receive a pre-treatment with MOLYKOTE G-n Metal Assembly Paste and Spray, followed by a break-in period without load to establish a foundational solid lubricating film prior to MOLYKOTE 1122 application. This grease is effective up to 160 C under specified conditions.
