MOLYKOTE 3402-C LF Anti-Friction Coating
MOLYKOTE 3402-C LF Anti-Friction Coating is an air-curing dry-film lubricant offering excellent lubricity and corrosion protection without PTFE or PFAS. MOLYKOTE 3402-C LF is a dry-film lubricant designed for applications demanding high pressure and wear resistance. This air-curing coating comprises solid lubricants, an organic binder, and an organic solvent, providing a robust combination of lubrication and corrosion protection across a wide service temperature range of -200 C to 310 C. Importantly, it is free from intentionally added polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Application involves thorough surface cleaning and degreasing, followed by even coating application via spraying, dipping, centrifuging, or brushing. A recommended dry-film thickness of 5 to 20 m ensures optimal performance. At a 10 m thickness, approximately 12 m /kg of coverage is achieved, though application losses are not factored into this value. The coating is touch-dry within 5 minutes and fully cured after 120 minutes at 20 C. MOLYKOTE L13 Thinner is recommended for adjustments to the coating viscosity.
