MOLYKOTE 112 High Performance Lube/Sealant
MOLYKOTE 112 High Performance Lube/Sealant is a thermally stable, high-consistency silicone sealant and lubricant for valves, resistant to a wide range of chemicals and temperatures. MOLYKOTE 112 High Consistency Valve Sealant is a grease-like, stiff, non-melting silicone compound designed for use as a valve lubricant and sealant. Its exceptional thermal stability ensures it will not carbonize or undergo significant changes in consistency at operating temperatures, resisting both melting and hardening during prolonged exposure to heat. The product exhibits excellent resistance to water, oil, and a broad spectrum of chemicals, including methanol, ethanol, glycol, glycerine, and many organic compounds and common gases.
This sealant's high tackiness facilitates easy application, though its high viscosity may require specialized pumping equipment for long-distance applications. Standard grease equipment is generally suitable; however, pre-application surface cleaning is recommended for optimal adhesion and performance. MOLYKOTE 112 offers a wide service temperature range, from -40 F to 450 F (-40 C to 232 C).
