MOLYKOTE 4 Electrical Insulating Compound
MOLYKOTE 4 Electrical Insulating Compound is a silicone-based, semi-flowable material designed for electrical insulation applications. Its unique rheology allows for easy application by hand, brush, or wipe, enabling it to fill complex geometries. Shear-thinning behavior further enhances its ability to penetrate intricate spaces, ensuring complete coverage and protection.
The compound provides superior dielectric strength and electrical insulation, coupled with good adhesion to various substrates including metals, elastomers, polymers, and ceramics. Its moisture and water repellency, along with low volatility and excellent oxidation stability, guarantee reliable performance across a wide temperature range from -54 C to 200 C. The product is certified to NSF 51 and 61, meets 21 CFR 175.30, and holds Kosher Pareve and Halal certifications. It also meets the requirements of AMS8660 Tables 1-4. The compound boasts a 60-month shelf life when stored in its original, unopened container.
