MOLYKOTE 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease is a high-performance synthetic grease with solid lubricants for demanding applications, offering emergency lubrication, high-pressure resistance, and exceptional adhesive properties. MOLYKOTE 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease is a specialized synthetic grease formulated with solid lubricants to provide reliable lubrication in demanding conditions. Its superior adhesive properties ensure long-lasting protection and prevent premature wear, even under high pressure. The grease is specifically designed for applications requiring emergency lubrication and reliable performance in extreme environments. Importantly, it is PTFE and PFAS-free and exhibits high water resistance.
Application is straightforward, using standard methods such as brushes, spatulas, grease guns, or automated lubrication systems. For optimal performance on chains with hollow pins, ensure complete grease packing of the pins and utilize a grease gun for relubrication via grease nipples. For new gear tooth profiles, pre-treatment with MOLYKOTE G-n Metal Assembly Paste and Spray is recommended, followed by a break-in period without load to establish a solid lubricating film before applying MOLYKOTE 1122. This grease is effective up to 160 C under specified conditions.
