Chemtronics Chem-Wik Rosin Flux Desoldering Wick
Chemtronics Chem-Wik Rosin Flux Desoldering Wick ensures fast and safe desoldering with ultra-pure, oxygen-free copper braid. It quickly and completely removes solder from circuit boards and components. Its fast wicking action protects components from harmful heat damage. All wick is sealed in nitrogen-purged packaging to avoid corrosion and loss of performance from moisture and oxygen. It requires little or no post solder cleaning, leaving no corrosive residues. The optimized weave design ensures faster wicking and heat transfer. Chem-Wik Rosin is halide-free and coated with ultra high purity, noncorrosive Type R rosin flux.
To use, place the wick over the solder to be removed, then place a hot soldering iron over the braid. Apply slight pressure and wait for the solder to melt. Once the wicking action has stopped, remove the wick and iron simultaneously. Ensure the iron tip is clean and tinned with fresh solder to maximize heat transfer. Be cautious of heat moving up the copper braid.
