Chemtronics Konform SR Silicone Conformal Coating is a single-part, silicone-based coating designed to protect electronic assemblies from harsh environmental conditions. This coating is ideal for applications requiring a wide operating temperature range and resistance to moisture, chemicals, and abrasion.
The Konform SR is easy to apply by spraying, brushing, or dipping. Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry before application. Apply a thin, even coat, allowing it to flow into hard-to-reach areas. It typically dries tack-free in 10 minutes and achieves full cure in 24 hours at room temperature. The coating can be heat-cured at 65°C (149°F) for 30 minutes to accelerate the curing process. Once cured, the coating provides a flexible, durable barrier that protects against thermal shock, UV light, and corrosive atmospheres. Its silicone composition ensures excellent electrical insulation and maintains its properties over a broad temperature range of -65°C to 200°C (-85°F to 392°F). The coating is also easily repairable; damaged sections can be removed and recoated without affecting the surrounding areas.
