Chemtronics Konform AR Acrylic Conformal Coating
Konform AR Acrylic Conformal Coating is UL-certified acrylic conformal coating for insulation against high voltage arcing and shorts. This extremely effective acrylic conformal coating provides a hard, durable protective barrier against humidity, salt, corrosive vapors and fungus for printed circuit board and electronic assemblies. Designed to provide effective insulation against electrical shorts and harsh environments, it extends component life by protecting against adverse conditions.
To apply, ensure the surface is clean and moisture-free, masking areas not requiring coating. For aerosol application (CTAR-12), shake well and spray from top to bottom, rotating the board for even coverage, repeating the process two or more times. Clear any nozzle clogs with solvent or a new nozzle. For liquid application (CTAR-1), apply by spraying, brushing, dipping, or flow coating, allowing the coating to flow around components. A 1.0 mil coating will be tack-free in 30 minutes, with full cure requiring 24 hours at 77°F (25°C) or 8 hours at 170°F (77°C) with an open vessel of water in the drying chamber to facilitate curing. The coating is UV detectable for QC inspection and can be removed by soaking in Electro-Wash Two Step Cleaner Degreaser or using CircuitWorks Conformal Coating Remover Pen for spot removal.
