Lamart 213-M
Lamart’s 213M is an aluminum foil tape coated with a solvent resistant pressure sensitive adhesive. It is designed for applications requiring exceptional chemical resistance, such as masking sensitive parts and securing protective drapes on aircraft during paint stripping processes. The tape can also be formed into runoff “gutters” to direct stripping solvent to catch basins. With a protective interliner, the tape can be die-cut. It is also useful for electroplating and high-temperature resistance applications. The dead soft aluminum backing conforms to irregular and curved surfaces, while the strong acrylic adhesive prevents corrosive materials from seeping under the tape, ensuring clean, residue-free removal. The adhesive’s high shear qualities ensure secure attachment of protective tapes. The service temperature range is -30°F (-34°C) to 325°F (163°C).
The tape is easy to apply and remove, leaving minimal residue behind. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application for optimal adhesion. For die-cutting applications, order the tape with a protective interliner. Store the tape under conditions of 70 degrees F (21 degrees C) and 50% R.H. for a shelf life of one year.
