Citra-Safe – A safe, biodegradable, non-petroleum industrial solvent for cleaning metals and painted surfaces.

Citra-Safe is a non-toxic industrial solvent derived from a non-petroleum distillation process. Unlike hazardous solvents such as MEK, trichloroethane, xylene, and toluene, Citra-Safe presents no threshold limit values or permissible exposure limits, is non-carcinogenic, and contains no components defined as hazardous under current United States O.S.H.A. regulations (29 CFR 1910). Its biodegradable nature allows for environmentally responsible disposal after release into appropriately functioning effluent treatment plants (subject to local approvals), significantly reducing hazardous waste disposal costs associated with traditional solvents.

This versatile solvent effectively replaces mineral spirits, thinners, and chlorinated solvents, eliminating the health risks and environmental concerns linked to petroleum-based alternatives. Application is straightforward: apply directly from the container using wiping, brushing, or spraying methods; a fan or compressed air can expedite drying. Citra-Safe is highly effective at removing tough greases, oils, tars, and other contaminants from both metal and painted surfaces. Its physical properties include a specific gravity of 0.84-0.85 and a flash point of 51° (PMCC).
