Callington Top of Descent Aircraft Insecticide – Non-flammable aerosol for aircraft cabin disinsection and biosecurity.

Callington Top of Descent Aircraft Insecticide is a non-flammable aerosol approved for use in aircraft cabins, specifically designed for pre-departure and arrival disinsection. Its application helps prevent the spread of vector-borne diseases such as Dengue Fever, Yellow Fever, Malaria, Chikungunya, and Zika, and also addresses biosecurity concerns by effectively eliminating agricultural pests. The product is also suitable for treating Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and Aircans.

Application involves a systematic spraying process, varying slightly depending on the target area (aircraft cabin, ULDs, or Aircans). For aircraft cabins, the insecticide is applied after passenger boarding and before departure, as well as upon arrival. Specific instructions include maintaining a steady spraying pace, targeting the ceiling and overhead lockers, and avoiding direct contact with food preparation areas or seating. A consistent application rate of 1g per second is recommended, achieving a coverage of 35g per 100 cubic meters. For Aircans and ULDs, a full can is used per unit.

It is also effective against a range of agricultural pests, which present a biosecurity risk. Callington Top of Descent Aircraft Insecticide contains a non-flammable propellant and the World Health Organisation recommended active substance of 2% w/w d-phenothrin. Tested and approved to Boeing, Douglas & AMS Specifications
