Chemlok Y-1540 Adhesive
One-coat adhesive for bonding elastomers to metal
Chemlok Y-1540 is a single-component adhesive designed for bonding various elastomers, including peroxide-cured silicone, EPDM, and fluoroelastomers, to cold-rolled and phosphatized steel substrates. Its low viscosity facilitates easy application via brush or dip methods, resulting in a clear to slightly red, aesthetically pleasing finish. The adhesive demonstrates excellent resistance to high temperatures (up to 260 C or 500 F when bonding silicone rubber) and hot motor oils, making it suitable for demanding applications.

Shelf Life/Storage
Shelf life is six months from date of shipment when stored by the recipient at 10-32 C (50-90 F) in original, unopened container.
