XIAMETER SLT-3445 Sealant Acetoxy Flowable – One-part, high-temperature release coating RTV silicone sealant.
XIAMETER SLT-3445 Sealant Acetoxy Flowable is a one-part, acid-curing RTV silicone designed as a high-temperature release coating. This self-leveling liquid is suitable for both spraying and dipping applications, providing excellent release properties and temperature stability up to 260°C (500°F) with intermittent use to 300°C (572°F). It offers good unprimed adhesion to various metals and meets food safety regulations, including XV BfR Recommendation and 90/128/EEC (EU) and 21 CFR 175.105 and 21 CFR 177.2600 (US FDA).
Application involves preparing surfaces by cleaning with a solvent like isopropanol. Spraying requires dilution with a non-polar solvent such as cyclohexane to achieve the appropriate viscosity. A minimum spray pressure of 5 bar is recommended, with airless spraying at 100 bar for superior uniformity. Optimal curing includes at least 1 hour of room temperature drying, followed by post-curing at 200°C (392°F) for at least 30 minutes to ensure compliance with food contact standards.
