Its paste consistency allows for easy application to horizontal, vertical, and overhead surfaces. This versatile sealant excels in applications demanding high temperature resistance and robust performance. RTV159 cures at room temperature without the need for a primer on a wide variety of substrates, offering excellent adhesion and long-lasting durability. Its exceptional weatherability, ozone, and chemical resistance make it ideal for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. The sealant releases acetic acid vapors during the curing process, a characteristic common to many silicone sealants. For applications requiring thicker sections (exceeding 6mm or 1/4 inch), Momentive offers alternative silicone rubber compounds.
