Momentive Siltrust RTV566 Silicone Rubber Compound
Two-part, room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) elastomer designed for applications demanding low outgassing characteristics, particularly in high-vacuum environments.
Momentive Siltrust RTV566 silicone rubber compound is a two-part, room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) elastomer designed for applications demanding low outgassing characteristics, particularly in high-vacuum environments. This high-performance silicone rubber offers excellent release properties and adheres well to various substrates with the use of a primer. Its exceptional temperature resistance allows it to maintain elastomeric properties from -115 C (-175 F) to 260 C (500 F) continuously, and up to 316 C (600 F) for short durations. The RTV566A base compound is supplied ready-to-use with the RTV566B curing agent, ensuring ease of application and a consistent, reliable cure. The compound's low volatile condensable material content makes it ideal for sensitive applications where cleanliness and minimal outgassing are critical. Detailed mixing and curing instructions are provided to optimize performance.
