Momentive SnapSil RTV133 is a high-performance, one-component silicone rubber adhesive sealant ideal for demanding applications across various industries. This black, thixotropic paste cures at room temperature and ambient humidity to form a tough, durable, and resilient silicone rubber bond. Its low flammability (UL rated V-0 or V-1), excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance, and superior electrical insulation properties make it an excellent choice for electronic components, aerospace applications, appliances, and transportation systems where fire resistance is critical. The sealant's self-adhesion and resistance to high and low temperatures (-60 C to 205 C) ensure long-lasting performance and reliability. Its low-odor cure process makes it suitable for confined workspaces. While the sealant's paste-like consistency limits its flow, it readily adheres to various surfaces, including metals, glass, ceramics, and some plastics. For optimal results, ensure thorough surface cleaning before application and consider using a primer for difficult substrates. Maximum bond strength develops within 24-48 hours, although the tack-free time is typically 3-5 hours.
