Momentive SnapSil RTV106 is a versatile, one-component adhesive sealant requiring no mixing before application. It cures at room temperature through exposure to atmospheric moisture, releasing acetic acid vapors during the curing process which typically takes 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity levels. The sealant offers self-adhesion and is designed for ease of use: simply apply evenly to clean, dry surfaces.
Once cured, SnapSil RTV106 exhibits a range of desirable properties including excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance, and superior electrical insulation. It also demonstrates high performance across a wide temperature range, withstanding continuous temperatures up to 260 C (500 F) and intermittent temperatures up to 315 C (600 F). The vibrant red color ensures easy visibility during and after application. The material displays a tensile strength of 26 kg/cm (375 lb/in ), 400% elongation, and a hardness of 30 Shore A.
