The 6500QL Series facepiece is durable and resilient with a stable lightly textured silicone faceseal that’s soft yet firm. The Quick Latch Drop Down mechanism makes it easy to put on or take off the facepiece while moving in and out of contaminated areas. There’s no need for hard hat or faceshield removal when lowering or raising the facepiece. The low-profile, half facepiece design offers a wide field of view and compatibility with certain welding and grinding shields. The adjustable head cradle and straps work together to offer a personalized fit. The bayonet-style connection fits a broad range of 3M bayonet-style filters and cartridges, offering protection against gases, vapors and particulates. 3M Cool Flow Valve helps release warm and moist exhaled breath from inside the respirator. An exhalation valve cover helps direct exhaled breath and moisture downward. The 6500QL Series can help reduce exposure to a broad range of gases, vapors and particulates, when used with approved 3M filters and/or cartridges. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M filters and/or cartridges, this half facepiece helps provide respiratory protection for concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL). It connects with all 3M 2000, 5000 and 7000 Series filters and 6000 Series cartridges and can be used with 3M Powered Air Systems for increased convenience and flexibility including TR-600 and TR-800.
