No fasteners are required and installers simply snap the adaptor onto a metallic or non-metallic Cast-In Device. Adaptors adjust to accommodate concrete slab pour depths up to 12” thick. The adaptor can add up to 4 inches (101.6 mm) in height to our Cast-In Devices for both plastic and metal pipes. It can also be modified for special applications in order to accommodate even greater depths. When used in conjunction with Fire Barrier Cast-In Devices in listed systems, 3M Fire Barrier Cast-In Device Height Adaptors are firestop tested up to 3 hours in accordance with ASTM E 814 (UL 1479).
