The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast and lasts up to 6x as long as conventional abrasives without compromising finish.These discs are now available with an extended grade range up to 1000+, making them ideal for a broad spectrum of applications, from aggressive stock removal to fine finishing. Effective on a wide variety of substrates, including all metals, composites, wood, paints, primers, and other coatings. Sandpaper discs perform better and last longer when dust is minimized on the abrasive surface. The 3M Xtract Series features a proprietary multi-hole pattern that enhances dust extraction, outperforming traditional 5- or 6-hole designs.
