3M Trizact Cloth 253FA abrades stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, cobalt steel, copper and brass for superior intermediate and fine finishing.

Our 3M Trizact Cloth 253FA features a XF-weight polyester backing coated with aluminum oxide mineral. Although heavy weight, XF backing is less stiff than YF – striking a unique balance between durability and flexibility. These attributes make it a good match for flat or centerless finishing applications, which require a sturdy abrasive that is still sensitive to surface irregularities.

3M Trizact Cloth 253FA sands scratches, gouges, dents and stains without wearing easily. The polyester cloth backing is waterproof, so the abrasive may be run wet or dry.

3M Trizact Cloth 253FA uses microreplication technology. The guiding principal of this technology is uniformity. The even spacing and consistent structure of the aluminum oxide minerals reduce the risk for uneven finishes and premature wear. Each mineral has a pyramid-like structure that contains multiple layers of abrasive grain. As the structures break down during grinding, new mineral is exposed. The ongoing renewal of the grain and the uniform spacing mean cuts stay sharp and precise.

Think consistency when you think 3M Trizact Abrasives. They deliver more consistent finishes, higher cut rates, and cooler grinding and finishing temperatures than conventional abrasives. Our line of 3M Trizact products start sharp and stay sharp, resulting in more predictable finishes and improved, consistent quality.
