Highlights

Choose this cloth for moderate-pressure stock removal, blending, and scratch refinement
Durable resin bond resists deterioration from heat, extending the life of the abrasive cloth
Incorporated grinding aid reduces heat and increases performance when used on stainless steel and exotic metals
Versatile alumina-zirconia abrasive can tackle many applications, from grinding to blending and more
Y-weight polyester backing conforms to contoured parts for consistent finishing

3M Cloth Roll 577F uses alumina-zirconia abrasive grains and is designed for light to moderate-pressure stock removal and finishing operations when you need a conformable belt for contoured surfaces. This roll is constructed on a water resistant cloth backing and a firm bonding material to give you great durability and flexibility.

Flexible Construction
3M™ Cloth Roll 577F is constructed with a closed coat of alumina-zirconia that covers 100% of the roll for maximum cutting efficiency. It's commonly used on surfaces where loading is less of a problem, making it a good match for softer metals. The backing is constructed with a durable, water-resistant polyester cloth.

Recommended Applications
Choose this cloth for use on aluminum, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement. To protect heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, we incorporated a grinding aid to help reduce grinding temperatures. Additionally, the abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure.
