3M CBN Wheel 154HK is used to cut a flute groove in the body of the cutting tools made of tool steel and high speed steel. This hybrid bonded wheel offers high cut rates, good form retention, and increased thermal stability during higher temperature grinding operations.

The 3M CBN Wheel 154HK line uses a hybrid bond system which offers increased thermal stability compared to the phenolic or polyimide bond systems. This allows 154HK to grind at higher cut rates and maintain form under higher temperature grinding conditions where phenolic and polyimide bond systems undergo thermal and chemical deterioration.
