Highlights

Ability to conform to the substrate makes the Buff and Blend Cross Buff ideal for edge deburring on Aluminum extrusions
Aluminum oxide mineral offers an aggressive cut, useful for removing heavy surface oxidation
HP material’s durable construction is aggressive and withstands heavy edge work while deburring, contributing to longer service life
May be used for deburring on aluminum die cast flashing

Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Cross Buff HP features a unique design that conforms to a variety of metal surfaces, making it ideal for polishing and cleaning inside diameters and hard-to-reach areas.

Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend Cross Buff HP has great versatility and may be used for a variety of applications, including cleaning, removing surface oxidation, rust and surface coatings for part inspection, surface preparation prior to coating, removing corrosion on steel rule and kirksite dies. Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend Cross Buff HP polishes round and square tubing, valve spools, molds, dies and inside diameters of lifter bore, valve bodies and brake cylinders.

Standard Abrasives™ Buff & Blend Products are made from tough, resin-reinforced nylon fiber with aluminum oxide abrasive grain. Each of the Standard Abrasives Buff & Blend materials offers unique benefits. HP is a stiff material that produces an aggressive cut rate, designed for applications where metal removal is required.

We used aluminum oxide mineral, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes for a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
