3M Adhesion Promoter 4298UV is a fast-drying liquid primer that enhances the adhesion of 3M Acrylic Foam Tape and 3M Acrylic Plus Tape to low-surface-energy (LSE) substrates commonly used for interior and exterior automotive trim and parts.Great for a robust bond of attachment tape to automotive parts, 3M Adhesion Promoter 4298UV works well with thermoplastic olefin (TPO), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polypropylene (PP) and other LSE plastics, as well as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and more. This versatile adhesion promoter dries in as little as 30 seconds and provides better adhesion for exterior trim attachment. It can be applied by a gravity feed wipe, knurled roller, sprayer, felt-tipped or similar applicator. It contains a fluorescent dye that makes it easily visible once applied, and helps technicians to quickly verify that coverage is complete and consistent for a reliable bond.
