3M Finesse-it Microfinishing Film Disc Roll 268L is a micron-graded aluminum oxide convenient disc roll constructed on a durable film backing available with or without a pressure sensitive adhesive. These convenient discs are useful for wet or dry use on plastic, primer, wood, metals and clear coats.
Achieve Close-Tolerance Finishes
We designed our 3M Finesse-it Microfinishing Film Disc Roll 268L to help you achieve precise, controlled, close-tolerance finishes and remove imperfections on multiple surfaces. This product features micron-graded aluminum oxide, resin-bonded to a high-strength, resilient polyester film backing. Aluminum oxide is desirable among industrial professionals for its fast cut-rate and long life.
Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. It cuts aggressively without significantly altering part geometry, which is great for applications like finishing and paint prep – when you want to maintain the part’s original shape.
Easy Disc Changes
We engineered our 3M Finesse-it Microfinishing Film Discs with a specially-formulated pressure sensitive adhesive. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use. By applying a little manual pressure, the discs press on to the backup pad (sold separately), and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. The discs may be used with random orbital sanders, disc sanders or a stationary disc sander. Additionally available without a PSA for custom applications.
Convenient Disc Roll Form
3M Finesse-it Microfinishing Film Disc Roll 268L is a good match for paint repair and prep. Multiple discs on a roll offer an economical solution for users, reducing the need to order replacements. The pressure sensitive adhesive makes for easy swap out of discs, enhancing efficiency and productivity. Run wet or dry, these abrasives swiftly smooth and level surfaces with tiny scratches, nicks and dings. They’re a good abrasive to have on hand when you need to remove imperfections from primer, clear coat, paint, plastic and soft or hardwoods, prep it for paint application or aid in restoring paint to its original luster.
