The design does not need to align with the disc pad holes, making switching the discs fast, easy, and convenient. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts fast and offers long life.Now available from grades 80+ through 1000+, these discs are designed for a wide array of substrates and applications,providing flexibility and versatility in use. The discs are effective for a broad range of tasks from stock removal to fine finishing on various substrates, including metals, paint coatings, composites, gelcoat, and different types of wood. The C-weight paper backing offers flexibility and is suitable for sanding applications where edge retention is not the main concern. For best results, pair with 3M Xtract Random Orbital Sanders.
